BLR FUN Halloween Pickleball Tournament: October 30th

It's almost time for our 4th annual BLR FUN Halloween Pickleball Tournament. Join us next Sunday, October 30th from 1:30pm - 3:30pm for a spooky fun time. Here are the details:

1. We will have three flights: a Lake Flight for beginners and beginners plus, a Mountain Flight for intermediate players, and an Overlook Flight for more advanced players.

2. We will play in a Round Robin format with points awarded for every point a player wins during their games. We’ll draw numbers to determine partners, and each player will play one game with the other 3 players on his/her court. We’ll redraw and repeat this several times based on the number of entrants. At the end of the last rotation, the player with the most total points (or highest % of points won to points played) will be the first place winner, second most points (or highest % of points won to points played) will be second place winner, and so on. Prizes will be given to the top players in each flight based on the number of entrants.

3. The deadline for entering is Thursday, October 26th at 5pm. Entries are limited to the first 20 players, so don't wait to sign up! The entry fee is $25 per person.

4. Wear your best Halloween costume to earn 5 extra points.

Click here to sign up on Simpletix by tomorrow at 5pm. We'll see you on the courts!

Caution with Outdoor Fire Pits

Due to recent dry weather and burn warnings issued for Jackson County, we urge all homeowners to show extra care when using outdoor fire pits at your homes and in common areas. The fire danger level in Jackson County is currently high, meaning all fine, dead fuels ignite readily and fires start easily from most causes. Unattended brush and campfires are also likely to escape. Please ensure no active fires are left unattended and that all fires are completely extinguished when you are done. Click here to stay up to date with our area's fire danger level.
