Castle Sessions w/ Brett Jones & Bobby Terry: Tonight - SOLD OUT

Our final Castle Session of 2022 is tonight and we are sold out! We'll see you tonight for one last incredible evening of live music, storytelling, mixology, and culinary artistry with Brett Jones and Bobby Terry.

Scotch Tasting at the Lake Club Bar: October 15th

Celebrate "Scotchtober" with a scotch tasting at the Lake Club Bar this Saturday, October 15th at 5pm. Reservations are $65 per person and can be made by emailing adam@bearlakereserve.com.

Wildflower Walk: October 15th

Join us and wildlife expert Adam Bigelow for a refreshing and educational wildflower walk this Saturday, October 15th at 10am. Adam will guide us through the Greeter's Cottage Loop Trail at a leisurely pace as we learn about the diverse plant life throughout the mountain. Click here to RSVP and use code BLRHOME10 for $10 off.

Special Olympics Golf Championship: October 16th

Coach Jerry Rodinsky's "Dog Pack" Team has been training hard all summer and now they're ready for for action! Join us at the Golf Course this Sunday from 2-4pm to cheer our athletes on as they compete in the Special Olympics Championship. In the event of rain, the event will be moved to 10/23. We hope to see you there, and wish the best of luck to all competitors.

Guided Forest Therapy Walk: October 23rd

Join us for a soothing, Guided Forest Therapy Walk followed by a tea ceremony on October 23rd. Forest bathing, or "shinrin-yoku", is simple: by spending leisurely time in nature, we achieve scientifically-demonstrated health benefits as we connect with our natural environment. This  guided walk will help facilitate sensory awareness, invite you to slow down, and open the door for nature to heal. Click here to RSVP on Simpletix.

Whiteside Mountain Hike with Bill Clark: October 26th

Join fellow homeowner Bill Clark on October 26th for a beautiful fall hike at Whiteside Mountain. This hike is approximately 2.2 miles round-trip with a 750-foot gain, making it easy/moderate in difficulty. We'll meet at the Amphitheater parking lot at 10am to carpool/caravan together and ask everyone to bring cash to help cover parking at the trailhead ($3 per vehicle). We also may stop in Cashiers on our return home for lunch and drinks. Space may be limited, so please email williamhclark52@gmail.com if you would like to attend.

Homeowners Weekend: October 27th - 31st

Our annual Homeowners Weekend is fast approaching. Be sure to join us on property from October 27th - 31st for a variety of important HOA meetings and exclusive homeowner gatherings.  It's also Halloween weekend, so we'll have plenty of spooky activities for the whole family to enjoy while you're here. Paint Your Pet: October 28th

Bring your furry, scaly, or feathered friend to life with a Paint Your Pet class in The Taproom. Talented artists Monet and Chardonnay will be there to guide you step-by-step. Lake Club Live featuring Ada: October 29th

Join us Saturday, October 29th at the Lake Club for a special evening of live music, food, and drink featuring Ada. This talented singer-songwriter from Texas, who has performed at a variety of music festivals and events throughout the region, believes strongly in the healing power of music and has a beautiful voice "reminiscent of Patsy Cline" (Durham Morning Herald). She'll be joined by Andrea Ford on percussion as they perform from 6:30pm - 9pm. Enjoy the music for free from 7:30 - 9, or join us at 6:30 for an exclusive culinary and mixology experience. Click here to RSVP.

Goblin Golf Classic: October 29th

Put on your best Halloween costumes and join us for our 4th annual Goblin Golf Classic on October 29th. This tournament is a 9-hole mixed scramble (one guy, one girl) with a catch: the ladies draw their partners randomly. There will also be a variety of spooky twists and turns during play such as putting with the Witch's Broom or between the Spider Legs! The field is limited to 18 teams, so don't wait to sign up. AWAKE Silent Auction Recap

With beautiful weather outside the Lake Club and over 150 people in attendance, AWAKE's "Pop a Cork" Silent Auction event was one for the books. Thank you to all who joined us and helped us break our previous donation record in support of children's advocacy services in Western North Carolina.

New Dinner Menu Now Available at the Lake Club

Hungry for something new? Visit the Lake Club to enjoy a meal from our updated fall dining menu which includes the return of a community favorite: the French Dip. If you have enough room, be sure to top it off with a selection from our new fall dessert menu.
