We've reached the end of another marvelous month on the mountain. It may be hard to believe we're nearly 75% of the way through 2022, but time flies when you're having fun! While there's plenty more fun to be had in the coming weeks and months, our focus has shifted to safety this weekend as remnants of Hurricane Ian are expected to sweep through our community. Inclement Weather Expected from Hurricane Ian

Our hearts and thoughts are with all of our homeowners, friends, and family members who have been impacted by Hurricane Ian in Florida.
As the storm moves up the coast, our team is diligently preparing for the arrival of rain and wind gusts throughout the weekend. We’ll have crews driving around the property checking for downed trees/power lines, flooding, and other potential hazards on our roads and near our homes. Western Carolina vs VMI: October 1st

|
After a tough loss on the road to top-25 Samford, the Catamounts return home and look to get back on track against VMI. Weather permitting, the game will go on as scheduled and we're still planning to attend. The Catamount Corner will be set up for us inside the Ramsey Center to ensure we're able to stay warm and dry in the event of stormy weather. AWAKE Pop-a-Cork Charity Event: October 2nd

Join us and our friends at AWAKE in support of children's advocacy services in Jackson County. They'll be hosting a silent auction on October 2nd at the Lake Club from 2pm - 5pm complete with food, drinks, and a variety of lovely items and experiences available to bid on. Courtney and the WCU Women's Golf Team Make History |

|
Congratulations to our very own Courtney Gunter and the WCU Women's Golf team on their record-breaking victory at last weekend's Aggie Invitational. They shattered the previous 54-hole school record with a score of 848 on their way back-to back tournament championships to start the season. Senior Madison Isaacson also broke a school record with an individual 54-hole score of 206, beating the previous record by 7 strokes. We wish Courtney and team the very best as they look to win their third straight tournament next week!
