Autumn on the mountain has officially kicked off. Our fall hours are here, and we have plenty of activities and events planned throughout the coming weeks as the weather cools and leaves begin to change colors. All of that and more in this week's Bear Prints. |

Free Tickets, Transportation, and Tailgating at WCU Home Football Games

The start of September brings the beginning of football season, and the Western Carolina Catamounts are geared up for a strong 2022. Thanks to the Catamount Club, we're thrilled to offer free tickets to all of our owners and guests as well as transportation to and from Whitmire Stadium for all of WCU's home games. We'll even have our own tailgating setup for all the pregame fun and festivities. To secure tickets and save your seat on the shuttle, email hannah@bearlakereserve.com and let her know which game(s) you'd like to attend. Here's the home schedule:

Our adjusted Fall Hours have taken effect, running through November 28th. Please note that dining and shopping at the Lake Club will be closed on Tuesdays, and outdoor amenities such as the pool and pickleball courts will stay open as weather and lighting permit. We appreciate you're understanding as we look forward to a lovely leaf season on the mountain! |

Did you know Bobby Terry has an impressive reputation for playing all of the instruments on almost every album he produces? He truly does it all, which has made him a highly sought after session player by stars like Tim McGraw, Brad Paisley, Montgomery Gentry, Lonestar, Trisha Yearwood, and Faith Hill. He is even credited as the solo producer and musician on Anthony Smith's acclaimed album If That Ain't Country. He's joined by Brett Jones, a legendary songwriter who has penned fourteen top-10's and seven #1's over the span of three decades. Boots, Blue Jeans, & Bling - September 24th

Join us and our friends at Southwestern Community College on September 24th for their 8th annual Boots, Blue Jeans, and Bling Gala at Harrah's Cherokee Casino.
It may be a "gala", but you're encouraged to wear your boots, jeans, and country attire at this fun event as we support student scholarships.
We'll be providing a free shuttle service to and from the casino, and tickets can be purchased here. To reserve your spot on our shuttle, email hannah@bearlakereserve.com.

Lake Clean Up - September 18th

Weddings and Events at Castle Ladyhawke

As leaf season approaches on the mountain, wedding season approaches at Castle Ladyhawke. We have weddings scheduled for this evening and Sunday, September 11th, with numerous guests expected to stay in our community.
The Mariani family is also hosting a private event at the Castle this Saturday, September 10th.

BearWise: What Bears Do in September |

As the summer winds down, we'd like to thank everyone for diligently following our bear safety precautions.
As this article from BearWise explains, bears spend September searching for as much food as possible.
Please continue to stay vigilant, lock your trash bins, and refrain from leaving any food outside or in your vehicles unattended as we begin to approach hibernation season.

Please note that we are moving back to our once-weekly shoulder season trash pick-up schedule (Mondays only) beginning next week. We will not have a second pick-up on Thursday, 9/15, only on Monday, 9/12. As in past years, we will consider adding a second weekly pick-up during key weeks with heavy trash usage, such as during the Thanksgiving or Christmas holidays, and will communicate any changes to the schedule in advance. If you have any issues with your trash, including maintenance concerns with your container or if a clean-up is needed, please reach out to our Greeter's Cottage hospitality team at greeterscottage@bearlakereserve.com or (828) 293-3455 [option 2] for assistance.

As the weekends continue to stay busy, we'd like to remind everyone that dinner reservations at the Lake Club are highly recommended. While they are not required to dine with us, it is simply the best way to ensure that we are able to seat you and your guests in a timely manner.
